Following on from Ric's post about our opponents next season, does anybody know anything about any of the teams- what sort of calibre they are etc or are we entering into the unknown?

Keeper Andy used to play for La Toque a couple of seasons ago, no idea how much of their team is still the same though. Beeston United you have already played several times in friendly's. I believe they finished mid table last season. The only other team I recognise from when we played Sundays are Midland Reprographics.
Judging by the last couple of games I saw, I think if we keep getting the sort of attendance at preseason from the 07 team that we had last sunday then you will more than hold your own.

Cheers Rich,
From what I can gather- there will only be 6 sides in our division that played in that division last season with 4 (including ourselves) confirmed, that didnt play in the combination last season and AFC Hucknall played in Div 1 last season.

what do u think your chances of finishing in the top 3 of the combination league are?
is your sunday side newly formed or was u playing in a different league last season?

I cant speak for anyone else in the side but there is no reason why we cant finish top three in this league and we must enter into it thinking we can win.
The 07 side is a great squad with a good mixture of players and will be able to compete competitively at that level!

We are one club but due to expanding numbers have decided to run a Saturday and Sunday side with this year being our first under the new format. With regard to where we may finish the campaign it really is up in the air- whilst obviously wanting to compete, the development is more important at this stage so we can build in future years as a club rather than quick success, the foundations are there and we have a nucleus of players that are more than capable of performing well but as said, it is our first season in this league and Sunday football is very unpredicatble as squad personnel changes frequently- from previous experience a deciding factor of that being the comsumption of copious amounts of booze on the Saturday night ;D What team are you involved with Nathan?

Have you got many CML players then? I'd have thought Div 3 would be a bit low to be entering in at if thats the case.

3 mate, most of the others only play sundays because they cant be botherd. i agree about div3 too be fair. To be honest there isnt that much difference in all 4 divisions, if u was to play a prem div side u would probably hold your own. Division 3 could be quite interesting this season with 6 new teams, not knowing what sort of players u are playing against.
i think we play u for our first home game, i will be the one playing upfront that cant hit a barn door(im a centre half on saturdays). u will have to make yourself known to me.
all the best for the season
ps. if u have any dates left im sure the manager would play u in a friendly.
