Howdy All
Right then , here’s the rub… there are two possible destinations for the FC Samba 2011 tour: Ljubljana (Slovenia) & Prague (Czech Republic).
Both have their attractions and advantages and both are currently priced at £295 per person via the same tour company (ISL) that arranged the Warsaw XI’s tournament from a few years ago.
Dates: Friday 19th August – Monday 22nd August
Cost will include (basically, all you should need extra is travel insurance and spending money):
• Flight
• Accommodation
• Airport transfers (both ends)
• Luggage
• Football (including transport)
Prague Overview:
• One day 11 aside tournament on the Saturday (guaranteed 3 matches / 6 teams participating)
• Good flights and cheaper available if people are prepared to land 00.35am Tuesday morning
• Flights to and from Manchester
The Prague 11's is held on Saturday 20th August. It's a 1 day 11 a side tournament held in a village on the outskirts of the Czech capital. We've been holding tournaments there since 1999, and it's an excellent day out; nice facility, friendly hosts, cheap beer and hopefully in August, good weather!

Ljubljana Overview:
• New destination for most people
• 1 friendly match on the Saturday
• Good flight times to and from Stansted (arrive back Monday evening)
LJUBLIJANA is the new Prague. It is a perfect combination of old world flair and modern entertainment. During the day, you should not miss a chance to stroll through the Old Town, along the Ljublijanica river or enjoy the lively open market. In the evening the whole city centre comes alive with lots of open air bars and cafes with live entertainment on the streets giving a taste of the Slovenian culture to welcome tourists. Old Ljublijana is absolutely packed with people enjoying the promenade or delighting in drinks at one of the many pubs.
Throughout the year, Ljubljana's tradition of the street market is kept alive. On the weekends it is mainly antiques, hand made jewellery and art. In the summertime fresh food directly from grandma's garden. Explore Ljubljana in a comfortable way. Take a ride in Happy Johnny (Veseli Janez), an open-topped double-decker bus, which takes you on a three-hour guided tour including most of the sights of Ljubljana.
As Graham from Blind Date used to say with his quick reminder… “the choice is yours!”
A vote from those who are genuinely interested in going would be good (I’m guessing I’d need to ask for around £150 by the end of March to confirm flights and accommodation deposit but will confirm that later)
Cheers
