Are there any plans afoot for a club booze/do to 'celebrate' the above or just the usual Xmas eve session?

Normal xmas eve crawl back to Arnold from Town hitting every pub aling the way will happen as usual.
We have been talking about a club xmas night. We have the option of Eagle Valley clubhouse on Saturday 18th Dec (we'd just have to cover the £60 bar staff costs to get the room). The committee will happily organise and throw on some food if people are willing to chuck in a few quid for ticket entry to cover the costs.
We only want to arrange that if plenty will commit to it though. Otherwise, we may as well arrange a night out in town where it doesn't matter so much if people let us down.
Either way, give us an idea by the next board meeting which is Tuesday 30th November and we'll make a final sugestion for a club night out (unless someone else is already planning one?)

A grand total of zero suggestions so i'm guessing no-one is too fussed about an xmas club night? I don't mind either way. I'll assume not, but just let me know if you do.

Gibbo i think the club house is a good idea for the x-mas club night but like you say it depends how many people can commit to it. I certainly would be up for it but i feel it will take more than myself to pay the £60 bar staff cost. Might be a good idea to suggest this on facebook as im sure the younger guys will probably take more note than the website?? Just an idea mate. Cheers

I'd actually like a night out on the 18th. Can't believe the lack of posts here reflects a lack of interest - I think we could all do with a good session as a group of players - even if it just means I can do my usual 'getting drunk and throwing my arms around everyone' routine. Mind you, maybe that's why nobody's posted.....I was hoping we could discuss it at the committee meeting, but since that wasn't possible - ANY SUGGESTIONS?!!

Happy to do anything, and equally, to contribute to any running costs.
